Room 2 is fine! And yep, Anton will find something for them to do--he'll try to do so in a way that uses skills they already have, but if not will give them some training if they're willing. Otherwise he'd most likely use Sokka as a runner/assistant for groceries and errands, and/or put Katara on-duty as a part-time live-in healer.
