Amon will have gotten a juulan stipend from the Welcome Center, which is also where he would have learned about the Midnight Hotel - for now he's going to pay with that to get him through the month, until he finds a way to make steady income. If a month is up and he still doesn't have a steady job, he'll likely be humbled enough to run errands and/or ask for help from either the locals or another foreigner - all-in-all it'll eventually work out for him.
